FRIGID New York Presents a JJRockstar Production: Year Of The Slut, a racy, coming of age comedy. Jeff Murray, recipient of the 2009 LA Times Critic’s Choice Award, directs the one-woman show, which is written and performed by the talented, young actress Jennifer Lieberman. This entertaining and eye-opening play opens Thursday, February 24th at The Red Room as part of the FRIGID New York Festival.

Year Of The Slut chronicles the hilarious, absurd and sometimes heart-warming adventures of a naive Jewish Canadian girl who moves to New York City. It’s here the horny 18-year-old virgin begins her rocky, but starry-eyed quest for the perfect storybook romance.

Jennifer Lieberman shines in this one-act play about first loves, heartbreak and sexual adventures. Lieberman brings ten vivid characters to life while successfully weaving her provocative and sensual poetry into the tale.

Year Of The Slut features original music written by Grammy-award-winning composer CJ Vanston (Waiting for Guffman, A Mighty Wind). The accompanying choreography has been arranged by Danielle Hobbs, best known for Beyonce’s Baby Boy music video.

Jennifer Lieberman Jennifer is thrilled to be back in NYC as part of the Frigid Festival! In New York, she was a company member of the American Mime Theater and a founding member of Edge of Insanity Productions. In LA, she is a company member at the Edgemar Center for the Arts. Favorite roles include: Karen, Chepachet, ATA; Sara, the coming of dick, The Kraine; Charmian, Antony and Cleopatra, ATA; Beatrice, Corporate Valentines, Tarragon Theater (Toronto), Beth, Galaxy Video, NoHo Actor’s Studio (Los Angeles). She stars in the upcoming indie feature film Taste of Fear. Jennifer is from Maple Ontario holds a BA in Philosophy and English Literature. In addition to her budding acting career, she has penned a number of screen and stage plays as well as a book of erotic poetry. Miss Lieberman has also Executive Produced 3 original plays in the East Village and Associate Produced the indie feature Saturday Morning which was released spring 2009.
